PHASEBUILT Build my plan
THE METHOD

The 90-day plan,
and why three phases.

A 90 day workout plan is long enough for a real training effect and short enough to stay committed to. But the length is not what makes it work. What makes it work is that the ninety days are not all the same.

Why not one block of ninety days

Running identical sessions at the same intensity for three months produces a predictable curve: quick early progress, a long plateau, then accumulated fatigue. Phasing exists to interrupt that. Each thirty day phase changes what is being asked of you, so the stimulus keeps moving and recovery is planned rather than hoped for.

Phase 1, days 1 to 30. Foundation

Movement quality, repeatable volume and consistency, without more fatigue than you can recover from. It deliberately leaves something in reserve. Your calorie and protein targets are established here and the habit is set.

Phase 2, days 31 to 60. Build

Volume and training density increase and progressive overload is applied across the major muscle groups, working from a base that can now absorb it. Nutrition tightens in step. This is usually where visible change begins.

Phase 3, days 61 to 90. Perform

Specialisation. Weak areas get direct attention, sets are taken closer to failure where that is safe, and the emphasis shifts to consolidating what you built rather than adding more. It closes with a roadmap for the next cycle so day 91 is not a blank page.

Inside a week

You choose 3 to 6 training days and the split is built around it. Each phase runs as a four week block, and you record load and reps after every session so progression is measured rather than guessed.

What ninety days can and cannot do

It is enough to build a genuine habit, to make measurable progress on the lifts, and to see change. It is not enough to finish, and any programme promising a fixed transformation in a fixed time is describing marketing rather than physiology. Results vary with adherence, starting point, sleep, stress and genetics.
